SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today unveiled the 2018 Girls’ Lacrosse Rules Online Course at learning.uslacrosse.org. The course covers the most important and most common National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations (NFHS) rules of play for high school girls’ lacrosse, which serve as the foundation for the age-appropriate US Lacrosse youth rules.
The new course replaces the original version developed in 2012. Officials enrolled in the US Lacrosse Officials Development Program must take the course in order to become certified by US Lacrosse.
“I’d like to thank our volunteer task force and our staff that worked so hard on this project,” Liz Brush, manager of the women’s officials development program at US Lacrosse, said. “It’s designed for officials, but it is very consumable by coaches, players and parents as a resource to learn about the playing rules.”
The course is free for members of US Lacrosse and $50 for non-members.

More than 4,500 officials completed the original girls’ lacrosse rules course, which was built by an outside company. The 2018 course was produced using new in-house software at a significantly lower cost.
